The Logistics and Supply Chain Management course, offered in the International Trade and Logistics and International Trade and Finance departments, concluded with an industry-focused site visit. During the final week, students had the opportunity to observe real-world applications and interact directly with the business sector.

The technical visit was guided by Course Coordinator Prof. Dr. Sinan Esen and Teaching Assistant Researcher Çağdaş Ateş, during which students toured the facilities of FGİ Kapı ve Yükleme Teknolojileri A.Ş. in Sakarya. They explored the company’s production lines, products, and operational processes firsthand.

At the beginning of the visit, Chairman of the Board Günay Güneş provided students with an overview of the company. He was accompanied by the company’s Eskişehir Regional Sales Manager and After-Sales Services Department specialists, who explained the sales process and post-sales operations in detail.

Later in the program, Barbaros Aba, Chairman of the Board of the Warehouse Management Association, delivered an extensive presentation on global developments and emerging trends in the logistics sector. Board members Recep Koca and Ayşe Arar Kurt also engaged with students, sharing their experiences and answering questions.

This sector-focused session offered students a highly valuable experience to reinforce their theoretical knowledge with practical insights in a collaborative and informative setting.
