We have begun developing Focus on Form / Focus on Forms English course content for our students.

As part of the TÜBİTAK 2219 postdoctoral research project, Dr. İsmail Gürler from SUBÜ School of Foreign Languages, in collaboration with the Second Language Acquisition Department at Indiana University, USA, has initiated efforts to create tailored course content for students at our faculty. A detailed needs analysis will constitute the first step of this process.

On Thursday, February 13, 2025, our Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Sinan Esen, Head of the International Trade and Finance Department Doç. Dr. Metin Saygılı, and Vice Head Doç. Dr. Zafer Adıgüzel held an online introductory and planning meeting with Dr. İsmail Gürler, who continues his research on this topic in the USA.

Based on the results of the analysis, the developed course content will be integrated into the curriculum, taking into account students’ specific needs and individual learning characteristics.
