The Idea Roundtable organized by SUBÜ was held under the theme “The Future of Technical Professions and Digital Transformation.” During the event, topics such as workplace applications within the +1 Education Model, career management, artificial intelligence, vocational schools and industry relations, and the qualifications sought for employment were discussed.

The Idea Roundtable on “The Future of Technical Professions and Digital Transformation” was hosted by Sakarya University of Applied Sciences (SUBÜ). Event Details
Opening the event, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oğuz Türkay emphasized that the Idea Roundtable is a consultation platform born at SUBÜ and serves as a role model for university–industry collaboration. Career Center Director Dr. Seda Gökdemir Ekici provided information about the center’s activities, while Dr. Cem Özkurt, Deputy Director of the AI and Data Science Center, delivered a presentation on AI technologies.

Held in two sessions, the Idea Roundtable allowed participants to share their opinions and suggestions. The event highlighted the significant contributions of SUBÜ’s +1 Education Model to the technical profession, noting that students can develop their skills for the profession through this model. It was emphasized that students should have more frequent contact with the companies where they will complete their workplace applications under the +1 Education Model. Additionally, it was decided to organize visits to vocational schools with the participation of industry representatives, during which information will be provided regarding the qualifications sought in intermediate staff that the industry plans to employ.
