SUBÜ will provide the training for the Sakarya Women's Cooperatives Support Center Project, which was submitted by the Sakarya Governorship and accepted under the Social Development Support Program.

Work has begun on the Sakarya Women's Cooperatives Support Center Project, submitted by the Sakarya Governorship under the 2023 Social Development Support Program (SOGEP), which is financed by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and executed by the East Marmara Development Agency (MARKA), with Sakarya University of Applied Sciences (SUBÜ) as one of the partners. In the project—which also includes Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality and the S.S. Producing Women Women's Entrepreneurship Production and Processing Cooperatives Union as partners alongside SUBÜ—face-to-face training sessions will be delivered by SUBÜ to enhance the institutional capacity of women's cooperatives and improve the knowledge and skills of their employees.

Both Face-to-Face and Digital Training

The first project meeting, chaired by Deputy Governor Selda Dural, was attended by the Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SATSO), the Provincial Directorate of Commerce, the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, and Sakarya University (SAÜ) as stakeholders. The face-to-face courses within the framework of the training program, which will be coordinated by Arzu Saygıner Çil, Project Development Manager at the SUBÜ Scientific Research Projects Coordination Office, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selma Kılıç Kırılmaz, a faculty member at the Faculty of Applied Sciences, will be recorded at SUBÜ Studios. Subsequently, these recordings will be published on the project's digital platforms to contribute to the project's dissemination efforts. Women members involved in the cooperatives who cannot attend the face-to-face training will be able to access the distance learning modules whenever and wherever they wish. SUBÜ will provide professional training to the members of women's cooperatives on topics including: production management, warehousing, logistics, transportation, quality standards, corporate financial management, marketing, digitalization, environmental protection, project management, innovation, and R&D.
