Online Examination Implementation Guidelines for Students

Final examinations will be conducted online between June 5–16, 2023.

The final exam schedules for the 2022–2023 Spring Semester have been announced on the websites of the respective units. Students are required to follow their exams according to these published schedules.

Students will be able to access the Online Examination System via the Sakarya University of Applied Sciences Distance Education System (LMS) through the university’s official website.

Before the Exam

  • You must log into the Virtual Exam Rooms 10 minutes before the start of your final exam and turn on your cameras. All sessions are recorded.

  • You may ask questions to the course invigilator through the private chat section.

  • Before starting each exam, the Exam Rules will be displayed on the exam screen. Students must carefully read and approve these rules in order to begin the exam.

  • Exams will last for the duration specified by the course instructor.

  • To avoid problems caused by possible system congestion, students are advised not to leave their exam submission to the final minutes of the allotted time.

During the Exam

  • In online multiple-choice exams, wrong answers will not reduce correct answers.

  • Returning to previous questions will not be possible.

  • The remaining time will be displayed on the screen throughout the exam.

  • If a student exits the system before the exam time ends for any reason, they may log back in and continue the exam. The time spent during disconnection will be included in the total exam duration. However, once the allotted exam time expires, the student will not be able to re-enter the exam.

  • For exams conducted in the format of Assignments, Projects, or Written Exams, the LMS Assignment Module will be used.

  • The exam documents will be shared by the instructor via:
Selected Courses → Relevant Course → Assignments

  • Students must upload their written answers, assignments, or project documents through the same system by following:
Selected Courses → Relevant Course → Assignments → Details Button

  • For exam security purposes, taking full-screen screenshots or logging in from a second device is strictly prohibited.

  • Students’ cameras must remain on throughout the exam.

  • A watermark containing the student’s ID number will be placed on the exam questions.

  • Workplace Training and Graduation (Thesis) exams will be conducted online with a jury panel.

  • Any student who takes the exam on behalf of someone else or allows another person to take the exam in their place, if detected, will have their exam invalidated, and disciplinary procedures will be initiated under the Higher Education Student Disciplinary Regulations.

  • All system activities of users accessing the exam system are fully logged and recorded, including:

    • Successful/unsuccessful login attempts and reasons

    • Device information

    • IP address

    • Page/question transitions

    • Selected answers, etc.

  • For technical problems related to online exams (system issues, password problems, etc.), you may send an email to:
    uzem@subu.edu.tr
    Your support request must include:

    • Description of the problem

Requests missing this information will not be considered.
