The Technology Transfer Office (TTO) of Sakarya University of Applied Sciences (SUBÜ) organized a project writing training for the faculty members of the Faculty of Applied Sciences. The training covered all aspects of project writing.

The program, titled “Practical Project Writing Training for the TÜBİTAK 3005 – Innovative Solutions Research Projects in Social and Humanities Sciences Support Program”, was structured in three parts. In the first session, Prof. Dr. Adnan Derdiyok from the Faculty of Technology addressed the importance of innovative approaches under the topic “Overview of Scientific Research Projects and Scientific Approach”, highlighting TÜBİTAK’s increasing support for social science projects.

In the second session, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Barış Horzum and Associate Professor Avni Önder Hanedar from Sakarya University shared their experiences under the topic “TÜBİTAK 3005 Project Experience Sharing and Filling Out the Application Form”. Prof. Horzum presented examples from a TÜBİTAK 3005 project he manages, discussing project summary, objectives and goals, national benefits and innovative aspects, methodology and project management, risks, and broader impact, while providing insights on new approaches. Prof. Hanedar also presented examples from his TÜBİTAK 3005 project and other TÜBİTAK-supported projects, highlighting important points to consider during project design, writing, and execution.

In the final part of the training, participating faculty members’ project ideas were practically discussed and evaluated.
