ATTENTION TO OUR STUDENTS!!!

The Birlik Academy Spring 2026 program, organized by the Birlik Foundation Sakarya Branch, will be held under the title “Urban History: Sites of Memory.”

The program will be conducted by Dr. Alper Cantimer, a faculty member of our university. It will focus on the urban history of Sakarya, with the first week consisting of a face-to-face session, followed by field visits in the subsequent weeks.

Program schedule:
• April 18, 2026, Saturday, 13:00 – Human and Culture (Face-to-face)
• April 25, 2026, Saturday, 13:00 – Sakarya in the Age of Empires (Field)
• May 2, 2026, Saturday, 13:00 – A City with a River Running Through It (Field)
• May 9, 2026, Saturday, 13:00 – Sakarya in the Ecosystem of Bridges (Field)
• May 16, 2026, Saturday, 13:00 – The Market of the Island (Field)

Participation in the program will be determined through a written interview process. Applications can be submitted via birlikakademi.org.

The deadline for applications is April 16, 2026.
