At Sakarya Uygulamalı Bilimler Üniversitesi (SUBÜ), the 2025–2026 Academic Year Spring Semester Academic General Assembly Meeting was held with broad participation. The meeting took place at the Turgut Özal Kültür ve Kongre Merkezi Prof. Dr. Nevzat Kor Hall and was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sarıbıyık, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Sinan Serdar Özkan, Prof. Dr. Ali Fuat Boz, and Prof. Dr. Oğuz Türkay, along with numerous academics from various faculties of the university.

During the meeting, where academic and administrative processes were evaluated, key topics related to the university’s ongoing activities, future-term objectives, and strategic planning were discussed. Comprehensive presentations were delivered on academic performance, scientific research activities, quality assurance processes, and projects aimed at institutional development. As part of the program, awards were presented to faculty members in recognition of their academic and administrative achievements in 2025. Our Faculty Dean, Prof. Dr. Sinan Esen, was honored with the Award for Support to Administrative Processes. Our UTF Department Chair, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Metin Saygılı, and faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bağış received the Academic Achievement Award in the field of Social and Human Sciences. Our UTL Vice Chair, Dr. Onur Canpolat, was granted the Innovation in Education Award, while Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nermin Ceren Türkmen received the Social Contribution Award.

In the speeches delivered during the ceremony, it was emphasized that these achievements are the result of institutional commitment, disciplined work, and team spirit, and appreciation was extended to all faculty members contributing academically and socially. Academics from the Faculty of Applied Sciences also participated actively in the meeting, marking a strong start to the new semester. The commemorative photograph taken after the meeting stood out as a symbol of unity and solidarity.
